Crave uses Claude AI (by Anthropic) to intelligently read and parse recipes from photos, PDFs, and web pages. To use these features, you'll need a free Anthropic account and an API key.
The key is stored only on your device and costs fractions of a cent per import — most users spend less than $1/month.

No catch. Crave is genuinely 100% free with no ads, no tracking, and no account required. There's no premium version and no plans to add one. The only optional cost is the Claude API key for importing recipes, which runs fractions of a cent per use.
You don't — but if you want to intelligently parse recipes from photos, PDFs, and web pages, you'll need one. You can still add recipes manually without a key. The key is free to obtain from Anthropic's website and is stored only on your device.
Not currently. Crave is Android-only for now.
